The summer house of the Governor Ioannis Kapodistria’s family is situated in the southwest side of a hill, in the village of Evropouli. The residence and 14 acres land were donated in 1979 Maria Desylla-Kapodistrias, great granddaughter of Georgios Kapodistrias to the three primary cultural societies of Corfu. The Corfu Reading Society, the Corfu Philharmonic Society and the Society of Corfiot Studies complied with the terms given found the Museum in 1981, which serves as well as centre of Kapodistrian and Corfiot studies.
The exhibits displayed in the Museum are objects belonging to Kapodostrias commemorating his life and accomplishments.
